Western Colorado Slope Challenge |
This years event will be May 3 & 4th.
As has been the norm, the focus is on combat, and any time 3 or more planes are in the air in one place, combat is on (with the exception of Lunch Break, and this year, while racing is going on).
Yes, I said racing. This year we are going on run some 4 man "48 inch Chevron Wing" races, where 1st and 2nd in a heat move on. As well as some single elimination 2 man Unlimited Foam (no 48 inch Chevrons) and Unlimited Crunchy Races.
Some have asked about continuing combat after dark with LED planes, but we think too many people don't have one, or the experience, so such combat will not count for the general totals, but we will give out different combat cards for those that want to battle at night, and have a night champion as well.
We will continue to 'Team Combat' tradition, but this year with a twist. Once all registrations are in (April 12th at the latest), we will random draw the teams to level the playing field, and make things more interesting and fun.
As in the past, the registration fee provides for your registration, 10 raffle tickets, and lunch Saturday and Sunday. This year we are adding Saturday and Sunday breakfast to go along with the Saturday night BBQ, which will be a separate ticket (like last year).
Registration is $20. Breakfast and Sat BBQ is $15.
