There are many thanks I want to put out, but first is to the vendors who
really came through and supported the event. I realized that every vendor
that supported us was represented at the event, and it is exceptional on
the part of the vendors to support our little event when we know they get
asked to support lots of events year round. I think this years raffle was
the best because it was supported by the vendors that are widely supported
by those in attendance, you could find a kit or equipment from each vendor
as you strolled around looking at all the planes everyone brought out.
Here are the Raffle results in the order the were selected:
6 tubes of Marine Goop: Artmonster, Mike J., Canuck, Donnie, Jim F., Rob D.

And a bit more thanks: To Tonia and Lisa, who worked and slaved and kept
everyone fed with lots of great food. Without their efforts not only would
we have starved, but the event just wouldn't have been the same. And Rob
and Dale who provided their smokers in advance to provide us with a few
great smoked briskets as a base for the saturday night BBQ.
To Michael, who went above and beyond providing a location for the BBQ,
and provided a place for all to cower out of the saturday rain/snow,
and a place for quite a few to crash over the weekend and even more to
finish up and fix their airplanes. A man with a huge heart that opened
his home and made a world of difference in the quality of this years event.
To Carl Shoup and his wife for being the saturday plane retrievers before
the rains came and washed us out. And even for the Baldwin's who would
have been there Sunday for us, had it worked out we were up on Flat Top.
We've been lucky to have these folks bring out their ATV's and do the
hard work for these many years.
For three years now we've had a small group of people that have planned
and organized, running around doing their best to ensure we don't forget
any of the details. So to the planners and the runners: Dale, Jim F, Rob
and his wife, John H., Kirk, and hopefully I didn't forget anyone.
And a last big thank you to you guys that came out for the event, some year
after year, some for the first time. There is no doubt in my mind that overall,
slope fliers are usually the best group of fliers out there, as they all watch
out and take care of each other. And I think we've got an exception group out
here, that no matter where they are, always have a great time, loads of
positive energy and are just the tops. And that includes the few that did
the long out of state drives (Dawson, Mike, John). There's no doubt at times
it's a bit of work to pull something like this together, but it's all you guys
comming out and the good times and experiences that makes it all worth it. Thanks.
